On the cozy afternoon of April 9th, DM took over Bastard Café Nørrebro for our very first board game event. With the entire back section reserved just for us, DM-ers from different years came together to enjoy a multitude of games and good laughs.
Everyone settled in with a free drink in hand to dive into an overwhelmingly wide selection of games. The room quickly filled with laughter, playful scheming, and the occasional dramatic card slam. “Hitster” got the group warmed up – though the Danish songs definitely gave our international students a fun challenge. “Cards Against Humanity” brought its usual chaos (and questionable jokes), “Secret Hitler” sparked some intense rounds of suspicion and betrayal, meanwhile, “Catan” had people trading sheep like their lives depended on it.
Whether you were a board game pro or just there for the vibe, the afternoon was the perfect midweek reset. It was a cozy warm-up to our Thursday evenings and a great reminder that stepping away from the school grind every now and then is more than worth it.
