On the bright and early morning of September 19th, the DM Union board got ready to meet potential new volunteers. With 14 open positions across IT, Finance, Marketing, Partnerships, and Social, the board was on the lookout for fresh faces to help steer the union forward. Interviews were held at Solbjerg Plads, and after an entire day of impressive conversations lasting until 7:30pm, decisions were finalized and sent out by 10pm that same evening.
Just days later, the new recruits came together on Saturday evening for a relaxed meet-and-greet. The goal? To introduce themselves, break the ice, and jumpstart the semester’s energy. Before diving into the fun, the board presented the vision and goals for each department for the semester, setting the tone for an exciting few months ahead.
A major goal this semester was implementing Google Workspace to keep communications flowing smoothly between departments. IT took the lead, setting up the Workspace for all members, ensuring everyone was connected and ready to collaborate. Since then, each department has held its own planning sessions to get the ball rolling:
- Marketing mapped out a fresh strategy for SoMe and the website.
- Finance and IT teamed up to find an improved payment solution for upcoming events.
- Social kicked off planning a lineup of exciting events.
- Partnerships hit the ground running, setting the stage for future collaborations.
After a busy and productive start to the semester, the entire union gathered to review progress and discuss the upcoming events, projects and challenges. A new team photo was also taken to mark the occasion!
